The Notes tab is a full script editor with a managed library of saved notebooks. Write multi-line programs, run them cell by cell, and keep a folder tree of your work. The Calc terminal already runs the same language; Notes adds the editor and the library.

Every example is automatically tested, and the build will stop if even one result has changed unexpectedly. That gives us something important as teachers and scientists: a reliable connection between what we see in the manual and what the system actually does. When an example is included here, you can trust that it has been tested and works as described.

A third three times really is one here, because two fractions are compared as the numbers they are rather than as the decimals they would round to. This is a student's first taste of writing a test.
