Srivus (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our desktop application and when you visit this website.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or share any personal information, such as your name, email address, location, or usage data.

2. Offline functionality

Our app operates entirely on your device. All processing and data handling occur locally, and no information is transmitted to our servers or third parties. Your work — your cells, your saved workspaces, your notebooks and any data files you open — stays on your own machine. There is no account to create, nothing to sign in to, and no server for any of it to be sent to.

3. Your copy of the Advanced Edition

Each Advanced Edition copy is built for the person who bought it and carries a short encoded identifier, issued with that purchase. Typing userID() prints it. The identifier is a piece of text compiled into your copy. The software never sends it anywhere and never reads any meaning from it. It says nothing about your computer and nothing about what you do with the program. There is no activation, no license key and no license check, so nothing here can stop your copy from working.

It has two purposes. The first is support: if you write to me, the line userID() prints tells me which copy is yours, so I can confirm that you hold a license without asking you to find a receipt. The second is deterrence: since a copy can be matched to the purchase it came from, a copy released to the public can be traced back to the buyer. The identifier stops nothing by itself. It takes the place of the activation and license checks that this software does not have.

The identifier is made from the purchase record described in Section 6 and adds nothing to it. I read it only when a buyer sends it to me. The free Basic Edition carries no identifier at all. There, userID() prints the same fixed text for everyone, since a free download is not tied to a person.

4. Third-party services

Our app does not integrate with or rely on any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools.

5. This website

This site has no analytics, no cookies, no advertising and no trackers. It sets nothing in your browser and it does not know you were here.

One page is an exception, and it is described here precisely. The checkout page, /buy, loads Paddle's checkout software from cdn.paddle.com so that a card payment can be taken. Paddle is the merchant of record for the sale, and a card cannot be taken without a payment company. What you type into that checkout (your card details, your billing address, your email) goes to Paddle and is handled under Paddle's own privacy policy, which is linked from the checkout itself. We receive from Paddle only what is needed to send you the software and to keep a record of the sale, namely your email address and the fact of the purchase. We never see your card number.

No other page on this site requests anything from any other site. Reading about the software, following the installation steps, or building a quotation for your school involves Paddle not at all, and the checkout page itself does not load Paddle until you open it.

6. If you write to me

If you email me (a question, a bug report, a request for a quotation, a purchase order), I have your message and your email address. I use them to answer you and to keep the record a sale needs, and for nothing else. Writing to me never puts you on a list.

There is exactly one list, and you are on it only if you asked to be. The Srivus Subscriber list is how I tell people about a new release, since the software has no update check built into it and never will. It is opt-in by email: you write and say you would like to be on it, and that is the only way anyone is added. I hold only the address you wrote from. I use it only to announce a release. I do not sell it, share it or hand it to any mailing service, and there are no trackers or open-counters in what I send. Ask to be removed and you are off the list permanently, with no questions and no confirmation step. Every message I send carries a plain way to leave the list and my postal address.

The quotation builder on the quote page runs entirely in your browser. What you type into it is never sent anywhere, including to me. The document it produces is assembled on your own machine and printed from it.

7. Children

This software is built for students, and much of its audience is at school. Since the application collects nothing at all, there is nothing about a child to collect, store, or disclose. Purchases are made by adults. A school buying a site license deals with me directly, and no student information is part of that transaction.

8. Changes to this policy

If we ever change our approach to data collection, we will update this Privacy Policy and notify users before any changes take effect.
